On May 18, American Public Works Association (APWA)Director-at-Large Bill Spearman testified on behalf of APWA members at the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure – Subcommittee on Water and Environment regarding “Building a 21st Century Infrastructure for America: Improving Water Quality through Integrated Planning.” He highlights the Reedy River Water Quality Group’s effort to use integrated planning and permitting to protect water resources and save tax payer money! Stream Restoration on Reedy River Tributary
The purpose of the Cleveland Park stream restoration project is to perform ecological restoration activities while maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic qualities of Cleveland Park. The scope of work includes stabilizing severely eroding streambanks and reconnecting approximately 500 feet of a Reedy River tributary with its floodplain to promote water quality improvements in the area of the park between Woodland Way and Woodland Way Circle.
