The RRWQG launched its long-planned economic impact study during an Economic Impact Committee meeting in late May. Study consultant Tania Briceno of Earth Economics briefed committee members on the study outline and methodology, goals for the project, targeted special interest areas, and potential best management practices.

We’ve gone national! Straight to the halls of Congress. On May 18, American Public Works Association (APWA)Director-at-Large Bill Spearman testified on behalf of APWA members at the U.S. House Transportation and Infrastructure – Subcommittee on Water and Environment regarding “Building a 21st Century Infrastructure for America: Improving Water Quality through Integrated Planning.” He highlights the Reedy River Water Quality Group’s effort to use integrated planning and permitting to protect water resources and save tax payer money!
