Greenville County’s New Pet Waste Ordinance

Greenville County Council voted to approve a new pet waste ordinance in zoned areas of the county on June 16, 2015. Harmful bacteria from pet waste is carried by stormwater into local rivers, lakes and streams. This ordinance will help to improve water quality by decreasing the bacteria levels in Greenville waterways.

YMCA Unveils Plans to Transform the Reedy River

Friends of the Reedy/YMCA project planned for Cleveland Street. The idea has been percolating since last year, when the Friends of the Reedy River decided to adopt a stretch of the waterway that flows behind the YMCA’s campus on Cleveland Street.
